Exclusive Session | Suretron Enhances DALI-2&D4i Lighting Smarts to Boost Business Capabilities

The session's presenter, Huang Gong, highlighted the distinctions between DALI-2 and D4i. DALI-2 represents the second major iteration of the DALI protocol, grounded in the IEC 62386 open standard, and it encompasses an expanded array of functions and product types, with an emphasis on product-to-product interoperability. D4i, on the other hand, is an extension of DALI-2 certification that, in addition to DALI-2 lighting control, incorporates support for data-centric functionalities, including the collection and analysis of data related to lighting assets, energy usage, and diagnostics.

Following the overview, Huang Gong provided a detailed analysis of DALI products from various manufacturers, examining their performance, unique features, and suitable application scenarios.
